1. About AreaIQ Places

AreaIQ Places (places.areaiq.org) is a free UK place and authority information service that brings together publicly available geographic, administrative and open data. It is operated by Maheshika Halbeisen. It is a separate product from AreaIQ (areaiq.org).

2. Acceptance

By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. We may update the terms at any time; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

3. Information only, not advice

4. Data accuracy and currency

Data comes from the sources listed on the data sources and methodology page and is refreshed on the cadence shown there. It may not reflect recent changes, it describes whole postcode sectors rather than addresses or streets, and we make no representation about its accuracy, completeness or fitness for any purpose.

5. No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AreaIQ Places and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage, direct, indirect or consequential, arising from use of or reliance on information on this site.

6. Third-party links

The site links to official bodies and third-party services. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. The site carries no affiliate links and sells no listings.

7. Intellectual property

The AreaIQ Places brand, design and original written content belong to Maheshika Halbeisen. Data displayed is sourced from open datasets under the Open Government Licence v3, the Open Database Licence and other licences named on the methodology page, with attribution. You may not scrape, copy or redistribute the site's pages or compiled data for commercial purposes without written permission; the underlying open data remains available from its publishers under its own licences.
